Dr. Mark Reichman, OFMS was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. He completed his under graduate degree at the University of Toronto which has earned an international reputation as a premier dental research and training facility in Canada. Dr. Mark Reichman graduated from Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1989.
After graduating, Dr. Reichman OFMS did an internship at the Toronto General Hospital before completing a 4 year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1994.
In 1994 Dr. Mark Reichman moved to Vancouver, British Columbia and started a private practice. He was active as an Assistant Clinical Professor with the Faculty of Dentistry at UBC for 18 years and was the past president of the BC Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Mark Reichman is Division Head of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and BC Childrens Hospital and was Division Head of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons at the Vancouver General and UBC hospitals.
Dr. Mark Reichman is the only active Oral and Maxilofacial surgeon on the Cleft Lip and Palate team at Vancouver’s BC Children’s Hospital and he performs surgeries to correct congenital facial deformities of children born with facial deformities and syndromes.
At Vancouver General Hospital and the UBC hospitals Dr. Mark Reichman has a practice to perform major operations to correct dentofacial deformities as well as surgery for oral and facial pathology. He also performs reconstructive facial surgery and repair facial trauma.
He also has a private office where he performs minor surgeries. These procedures include the removal of wisdom teeth, place dental implants, and bone graft intraorally. He also performs biopsies.
A portion of Dr. Mark Reichman’s private practice is dedicated to facial cosmetic surgery. His office is on west 7th Ave and is accredited by the College of Dental Surgeons of BC to provide sedation and general anaesthesia.
